As of April 10, 2015, for the fourth straight week, BPI's Equity Value Fund is the best performing equity UITF in the Philippines, gaining 13.01% since the start of the year. For the seventh straight week, it has outperformed the PSEi, which ended the week with 12.40% YTD.
Aside from BPI Equity Value Fund, three other funds managed to outperform the index: BPI Philippine High Dividend Equity Fund (12.78%), PNB Enhanced Phil-Index Reference Fund (12.51%), and BPI Philippine Equity Index Fund (12.41%).
Notable mover for this week is PNB's Enhanced Phil-Index Reference Fund, which climbed up to the third position coming from the ninth spot.

Comparing the best Equity UITF with the best Equity Mutual Fund as of last week, BPI Equity Value Fund still comes out as the better investment over ALFM Philippine Stock Index Fund, which finished the week with 12.61% YTD. Last April 10, 2015, the PSEi had a record closing of 8,127.48 points or 12.40% YTD. Yesterday, April 13, 2015, PSEi was down by 54.23 points (-0.67%). It was probably due to profit taking. And as of writing, Dow is also down by 60 points. Are we going to finally see the overdue correction many are waiting for?
