Top 10 Equity UITF in the Philippines (as of March 6, 2015)

As of March 6, 2015, BPI's Philippine High Dividend Equity Fund is still the best performing equity UITF in the Philippines. For five straight weeks now, aside from being the top equity UITF in the country, its 9.25% YTD has outperformed the PSEi, which has gained 8.72% since the start of the year.

For this week, aside from the Philippine High Dividend Equity Fund, BPI's Equity Value Fund also outperformed the index, finishing with 8.78% YTD. Great 1-2 punch for BPI. In addition, you will see in our Top 10 that BPI UITFs occupy the number 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6 spots! You're in good hands with BPI (wait, something doesn't sound right :P).

If you'll check the Top 10, 5 funds came from BPI, 2 came from PNB, and 2 from Metrobank. If you're still shopping around for UITFs, the list will give you an idea which banks to consider.

The complete list is shown below.

I'm really surprised with Security Bank's UITF performance so far. At rank 28 and 29, how much worse can it get? It's really ironic how 2014's best UITF is now dwelling at the bottom of the list. The first quarter is about to end soon, I'm hoping that their fund manager's stock picks will make their big move soon.
