As of April 17, 2015, ALFM Philippine Stock Index Fund is still the best performing equity mutual fund in the Philippines, gaining 10.10% since the start of the year. It has outperformed the PSEi, which ended the week with 9.91% YTD.
Other funds which ended at the Top 5 include Philequity PSE Index Fund Inc. (9.13%), Cocolife United Fund, Inc. (8.61%), ALFM Growth Fund, Inc (8.48%), and Philam Strategic Growth Fund, Inc. (7.87%).
If we are to compare the best Equity Mutual Fund with the best Equity UITF, you'll see that BPI Equity Value Fund and Philippine High Dividend Equity Fund performed slightly better than the ALFM Philippine Stock Index Fund, by finishing the week with 10.66% YTD.
