As of April 1, 2015, BPI's Equity Value Fund is still the best performing equity UITF in the Philippines, gaining 11.44% since the start of the year. For the sixth straight week, it has outperformed the PSEi, which ended the week with 10.55% YTD.
Aside from BPI Equity Value Fund, four other funds, all under BPI, managed to outperform the index: BPI Philippine High Dividend Equity Fund (11.10%), Odyssey Tax-Exempt Philippine Equity Fund (10.92%), Odyssey Philippine Equity Fund (10.84%), and BPI Philippine Equity Index Fund (10.62%).
Indeed, an impressive week again for BPI, coming up with the Top 5 Equity UITFs.
The complete list is shown below.
Since last week, I started monitoring the performance of Equity Mutual Funds. If we are to compare the best Equity UITF with the best Equity Mutual Fund, I'm glad to say that the BPI Equity Value Fund also came up as the winner, beating ALFM Philippine Stock Index Fund (also under BPI), which finished the week with 10.80% YTD. Additional Notes from MYPG:
Yesterday, April 6, 2015, the PSEi closed above the 8,000 level for the first time (8053.74 to be exact)! Another good news for all investors. Hopefully, the hot streak can continue. I'm excited to see how the funds will react to this development, and whether or not BPI can still hold on to the Top 5 spots.
